About our members
The City of Augusta, Arkansas was incorporated in 1861 and serves as the Woodruff County seat. Augusta is the only city in Arkansas that provides electric, water, wastewater, and natural gas service to residents under the management of the city council.
The City of Benton, Arkansas was chartered in 1836 – when Arkansas became a state – and serves as the Saline County seat. The Benton City Council created the Benton Public Utility Commission in 2004 to operate and manage the municipal electric, water, and wastewater systems that operate as Benton Utilities.
The City of Bentonville, Arkansas was incorporated in 1873. Bentonville serves as the Benton County seat and corporate home of Walmart. The Bentonville City Council established the Bentonville Utility Board in 2019 to assist in the oversight of the municipal electric, water, and wastewater systems.
The City of Clarksville, Arkansas was established in 1836 – shortly after Arkansas became a state – and serves as the Johnson County seat. The Clarksville City Council created the Clarksville Light and Water Commission in 1947 to operate and manage the municipal electric, water, and wastewater utilities. The Commission was renamed “Clarksville Connected Utilities” in 2019 to reflect new broadband services.
The City of Conway, Arkansas was incorporated in 1875 and serves as the Faulkner County seat. The Conway City Council founded Conway Corporation, a nonprofit corporation, in 1929 to operate and manage the municipal electric system. Thereafter, Conway Corp was granted authority over Conway’s water and wastewater systems. Conway Corp has expanded services to include broadband, cable, home security, and others.
The City of Hope, Arkansas was founded in 1875. Hope is the birthplace of President Bill Clinton and serves as the Hempstead County seat. The Hope City Council established the Hope Water & Light Commission in ______ to operate and manage the municipal electric, water, and wastewater systems that serve citizens of Hope and parts of Hempstead County. Hope Water & Light is currently extending broadband internet service throughout the community.
Jonesboro City Water and Light (CWL) was established as a municipal improvement district in 1906 to provide electric, water, and wastewater services to its citizens.
The North Little Rock Electric Department operates the city’s municipal electric utility under the management of the North Little Rock City Council.
The City of Osceola has owned and operated the city’s municipal electric utility since 1912. Osceola Municipal Light and Power operates under the management of the Osceola City Council.
Paragould Light Water & Cable (PLWC) was established by the City of Paragould to operate and manage the city’s electric, water, and wastewater utilities. PLWC also provides cable and broadband service throughout the community.
The City of Paris, Arkansas was founded on February 19, 1874. Paris owns and operates an electric, water, and wastewater utility under the management of the Paris City Council.
The City of Piggott has owned and operated the city’s electric utility since 1922. Piggott also provides water and wastewater utility services. Piggott’s Municipal Light, Water and Sewer system operates under the management of the Piggott City Council.
The City of Prescott, Arkansas was founded on October 6, 1874. Prescott owns and operates an electric, water, and wastewater utility under the management of the Prescott City Council.
The City of Siloam Springs has owned and operated the city’s electric utility since 1903. Siloam Springs also provides water and wastewater utility services. Siloam Spring’s Electric Department operates under the management of the Siloam Springs City Council.
The City of West Memphis was incorporated in 1927 in Crittenden County, Arkansas across the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee. West Memphis purchased its utility system in 1936 and later established the West Memphis Utility Commission
